What you'll be doing

  • Providing personal care and support with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation and light housekeeping
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities and community events
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers and the use of equipment as needed
  • Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
  • Advocating for clients and collaborating with allied health professionals
  • Promoting independence, choice and control for our clients

What we're looking for

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care or a related field is a must for this position.
  • Experience in providing person-centred support to people with disabilities, mental health conditions or complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
  • A current driver's licence and your own vehicle (desirable)
  • This position requires a High Physical Support Person 
  • A positive, solution-focused attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
